Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is an acclaimed Indian actor, known for her performances in the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! In the 1980s the actress began her acting career and became famous for her role as Tezaab which she played with veteran actor Anil Kapooor. In her next film Dil, Aamir Khan appeared alongside her. In the beginning, as a teenager in Mumbai's middle-class, she learned to dance. She began acting when she was a youngster and struggled through a couple of years since the majority of her first films failed. Her breakthrough came when she finally had success and then was one of the most prominent actors in the Indian film business. In the aftermath of her wedding, she took a brief absence from acting prior to returning. Recently, she played an important performance on the film Gulaab Gang. The film focused on the struggles of women in India. Dixit was awarded eight Filmfare Awards out of the fifteen she was nominated for. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit, the fourth-highest civil honour in India. She is known for her social works as well.
