Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - born Jacqueline Luesby to Chris Watson and Jacqueline Luesby, two British lawyers, was born on July 8, 1989 in Paris. At the age of five, she moved to Oxfordshire and enrolled at her first Dragon School. Emma was only six when she made the decision to become an actress. She trained for several years in Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a full-time school of theatre in Oxford where she studied acting as well as singing. From the age of 10 the actress took part in as the lead in numerous Stagecoach productions as well as school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book began in 1999. Emma was initially discovered as a casting agent through her Oxford drama teacher. David Heyman announced to Emma that, after auditioning for eight times, she as well as Rupert Grint were chosen as Hermione and Harry Potter.
